Legal Ops Guide exists to give small and mid-size law firms practical, trustworthy guidance. This page explains how our content is made, so you can judge it fairly.

How we choose topics

We prioritize questions small and mid-size law firms actually ask — drawn from real search demand, reader questions, and recurring problems we see in the field. We favor operational depth over volume, and we don't publish filler to hit a number.

How we research

Each article is researched against primary and authoritative sources, current product documentation, and reputable industry reporting. For factual or regulatory claims we prefer original sources over second-hand summaries.

Sources we prioritize for this publication include:

• State and local court websites, rules, and filing systems
• State bar associations and their ethics and technology-competence opinions
• The American Bar Association
• Primary legislation and official government sources
• Official product documentation from legal-technology vendors

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. AI never has the final word: a human editor reviews every article for accuracy, tone, and usefulness, checks that claims are supported, and removes anything that reads as generic or unverified before it is published. We do not publish unreviewed AI output.

How we make recommendations

When we compare tools or approaches, we aim to be even-handed: we describe strengths and weaknesses, note where a simpler or off-the-shelf option is the better call, and explain the trade-offs so you can decide. We are not paid to feature any vendor.

Conflicts of interest & affiliate relationships

Legal Ops Guide is published by iiinigence. Where that is relevant to a topic (for example, build-vs-buy decisions), we disclose it. We do not currently use affiliate links; if that ever changes, we will disclose it clearly on the affected pages.

Corrections & updates

We keep publication and, where relevant, "last updated" dates on our articles. If you spot an error, email hello@legalopsguide.com and we will review and correct it promptly. Significant updates are reflected in the article's updated date.
